I think bittersweet is an appropriate word, because it ends with "sweet." Despite the sadness and grief at losing something special, there is a sense that God is at work. He is building something new - in each of us and in different places. Nate is working in Amesbury, MA at All Saints Anglican; Kristen is on the west coast working with Community of the Way (a church plant), and my family bought a house in Hamilton, MA and I've begun a full-time job at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
God has been faithful to us all during this time. We can look back and celebrate boldly what He has done, how he brought unlikely friends together and made Himself real to us. We can rejoice at the good things that have come from the last three years of work and worship; we can trust that the next stage of life and work will be good and God will be at work in us and among us. We can move forward, knowing that this experience has been ordained and orchestrated by God and that we are blessed to have been a part of it all.
Thank you to those who have walked with us, prayed for us, supported us and loved us during these past few years. You were a blessing to us, and we are so grateful. I pray that you will experience the same goodness and trust as you continue your own walk with God, wherever that may lead.
